Citizen Reporters [also known as Cop Watchers] are a network of activist organizations, typically autonomous and focused in local areas that observe and document police activity while looking for signs of police misconduct and police brutality. They believe that monitoring police activity is a way to prevent misconduct. The stated goal is to engage in monitoring police activity in the interest of holding the police accountable for misconduct. Cop Watch[ing] was first started in Berkeley, California, in 1990.

  • Empower prosecutorial disclosure. This Brady List as a platform automates the compilation of data across entire jurisdictions for prosecutors.
  • Enable judicial oversight. This Brady List platform is the first of its kind to serve the judiciary as a method to ensure delivery of Brady Material Disclosures.
  • Build trust in the community through transparency. This Brady List is now, and always will be, open to the public.
  • Demonstrate accountability. The Brady List encourages law enforcement, prosecutors, and the judiciary to demonstrate their entire workflow from complaint intake through categorization, investigation, and conclusion.

In order to provide this service to 20,000+ Organizations, POST Departments, and Prosecutors nationwide. We have standardized the input, date and time stamped the output, incorporated an epistemology of Brady Offenses, Public Complaints, and Use-of-Force Reports.

Citizens Overseeing Police Oklahoma

Our mission is liberation... liberation from injustice, oppression, and from the corruption that feeds on the backs of ALL people within Oklahoma. 

We began this journey back in 2020 as just a few individuals who's rights were violated at the hands of Oklahoma's police and Sheriffs.  
Our original goal was simply to expose police misconduct, as we all held the belief that our state government would make protecting our constitutional rights their priority. 

WE WERE WRONG!

Not only did government fail to fully embrace their position and oath to protect us.  They doubled down to sweep their crimes under the rug.

We discovered policies & statutes put in place with the sole purpose of affording our abusers special protections, and limiting or denying us taxpayers proper redress or remedy for the crimes perpetrated against us.

In five years we have witnessed our politicians sell out land owners, small business men, the elderly, mothers, and children, of all race, creed, and colors to police unions, banks, and foreign corporations.

We are a force of working-class fighters, the backbone of this nation, rising up from the cities, the small towns, and the forgotten corners of Oklahoma to demand what is ours — freedom, justice, and the power to live with dignity.

We stand against the corrupt political elite, who exploit our labor, bleed our communities dry, and weaponize the law to keep us in chains.

We see through the lies of those who claim to protect and serve.  The badge has become a symbol of fear, not safety.  A tool of the state to enforce their rule and crush dissent. The police no longer shield us; they are enforcers of oppression, defending wealth and power instead of justice and peace. 

We will not stand by as our brothers and sisters are brutalized, criminalized, and silenced.

We resist the abuse of power in all its forms: on the streets, in the courts, and in the halls of government.

We reject a world where the powerful profit from our poverty and our lives are treated as expendable. We will not wait for justice to be handed down from above. 
We will organize, resist, and take it for ourselves.
